Our mission is to celebrate and elevate African culture, through unique cultural experiences such as crafts, curated designs and fashion. Since our founding year in 2011, we have been committed to Innovation, Authentic African stories and the creative beauty that comes from African designers and artists.
How It All Started
Led by Machere Pokane, Shop Truestory. is involved in both the fashion, accessories and products for home and office design, under the two brands called Zulu – African Design Emporium and Truestory. Since the inception of the holding business; Infinite Glamour in 2011, Zulu and Truestory manufacturer some the products sold, and also provide a platform for local creatives to showcase their products to the world.
As an award winning Fashion Designer, Machere’s vision with Shop Truestory is to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, bringing the rich heritage of African creativity to the forefront of the global stage.

WE'VE OPENED A NEW STORE !
Zulu Kids is the newest addition to the ZULU – African Design Emporium family, proudly located at OR Tambo International Airport in the Domestic Landside area. As an extension of our flagship store, ZULU Kids brings the same celebration of African creativity, culture, and craftsmanship to little ones. The store offers a curated collection of locally made children’s clothing, toys, books, and accessories — all rooted in African heritage and storytelling.
